Airlie Beach

We drove from Blacks Beach to Airlie Beach which took just under 2 hours. We saw lots and lots of canefields and Dad told us that his Grandparents had a cane farm. Back then the cane workers had to chop each plant by hand! We were amazed that people eat so much sugar.

We had lunch at Northerlies which was yum and the water was very blue.

The caravan park here is amazing. Our favourite thing is going on the waterslides, even Mum went on one but she was scared of the closed in ones. At night time there is an outdoor movie and an ice cream truck drives around.

Airlie beach is beautiful and has a playground with the biggest slides we've ever seen. We will come back in winter when we can swim in the ocean.
