Kiama

Facts! Kiama come from the Aboriginal word kiarama, which means "place where the sea makes noise". We know why!

It was tricky to dive to Kiama because lots of roads were closed because of landslides.

There are two ginormous blow holes, one is small, one is big. The small one shoots the highest. They were so noisy and there were houses next to them - we wondered if the people get annoyed with the noise!

We went into an ocean pool. There were lots of fish and rocks and shells. I (Millie) was scared to jump in, but I finally jumped in and didn't want to leave. It was very deep.

We went to a lighthouse, which still works today.

Looks like you are seeing the NSW coastline at a great time of the year. Your big bowl of soup looked nutritious and delicious! I learnt to swim in an ocean pool. I remember the big mouthfuls of cold salty water. It was a bit scary and it was always cold.
